I have been a big fan of lavender oils for about a dozen years now, so I was excited to receive a free bottle of this oil for review. I've tried quite a few different varieties of lavender oil from different companies over the years, all of them with a different bouquet depending on the plant variety and extraction process. All of them have a calming effect on me. I have no idea if this is a physiological response or just because I love the smell so much. It doesn't matter to me, as long as it works. I often carry a small bottle of lavender oil with me just to sniff when I feel stressed or dab a drop or two on my temples and throat.



After much experimentation I discovered that I much prefer oils made from the lavandula angustifolia plant rather than those made from lavandula officianalis. The officianalis oil smells much more sharp and astringent to me, whereas the angustifolia variety is sweeter and more floral.



I had never heard of Kashmir Grade oil before being offered this oil for review. I'm still not sure exactly what the grade means. All I know is I absolutely love this oil and cannot stop sniffing it. It's made from my preferred variety, the lavandula angustifolia, and the sweetness is divine. I think this may be my new favorite lavender oil. Just a drop or two on my pillow at night gives me a feeling of having slept more soundly, and it's wonderful to drift off with that lovely smell.



I highly recommend this oil, and would definitely buy more after my sample bottle runs out.
