I've been trying to compile a "Holy Grail" list of products that my overly-sensitive, bad-natured, hissy-fit-having skin agrees with for a very long time now.

I have very oily, very hyper-sensitive skin that has never responded to any prescription treatments from doctors or dermatologists. And if that isn't enough, I also suffer from what has been diagnosed as Cholinergic Urticaria (scratches appearing on skin after sweating..i.e..from exercising or whatever) and Dermographism, where long, welt-like scratches will present themselves on my back, arms and neck for no apparent reason and at any given time. The scratches look as if someone/something has attacked my skin with a vengence. Needless to say, the breakouts causes terrible stinging, burning, raised and inflamed skin and leaves the most unsightly marks after each episode.

On the days when these conditions occur (they are not food-related that I can see), forget about being able to take a bath or shower or allowing water and especially soap on the skin because it can really hurt.

After having success with Cetaphil's bar soap and moisturizing cream, I decided to try the Restoraderm Skin Restoring Body Wash after seeing it on sale at Target. And, boy, am I glad I did.

Not only has my skin lost that tight, parched, and itchy feeling, but many of the old scratch marks from years ago on my back and arms seem to be lightening up and fading as well. And while I am not confortable saying that a product has "cured" my skin afflictions, Restoraderm has done more than I ever imagined could happen. The frequency of the breakouts has also changed, and when they do come, the swellings and irritation is very minor and slight and the skin returns to normal quickly without the red welts and scratches ever forming.

My sincere thanks to Cetaphil! And, yeah, this stuff does cost an arm and a leg, but in my opinion, it's worth every single penny. I'm just so happy to finally be able to add another item to my very, very short list of "HG" skincare products.

Prosperity and peace to all!
