CUSTOMER REVIEW
First off, I received this case free in exchange for an unbiased review. Over the past weeks I've done quite a few reviews for iPhone 6 cases. Some were free for review, some were me purchasing them in the search for the perfect iPhone case. In my experience, the cases boil down to three types:
Minimal - A super thin case that just covers the corners/edges and protects against a disaster. Doesn't do much for the screen.
Cushioned - Has a rubbery feel that extends beyond the face of the phone to protect the screen. Prevents most damage on an average drop.
Bullet proof - A fully enclosed case that will prevent just about any drop, to include water damage. May effectively double the size of the phone.
This case falls into the second category. I switch between the first two categories, depending on what I'm doing. For the most part, I stay in the second category, and the only thing that really bothers me about this is the fact that I can't charge the phone in my Belkin charging dock with the case on. Not a big deal, I just use a standard cable.
About the case:
-- It covers all corners and edges. It extends beyond the face slightly, to help prevent a cracked screen if dropped.
-- It is rubbery and improves grip on the device.
-- It is thin, but it isn't the thinnest out there. Any thinner and you'll sacrifice protection. This gives you, in my opinion, the best of both worlds, smaller size and decent protection.
-- The dimples on the back that touch the phone provide additional shock protection. I thought this design was very clever.
-- The buttons and holes match up nice.
-- When I have it applied to my phone and in my pants pocket, I can't tell much of a difference between it being there and a bare phone.
You just need to ask yourself what category you want to be in, based on size and protection, and the opportunity cost relationship between the two. This case gives you good protection with about a 1.5mm addition in size. I needed to try several cases before I figured out what I wanted. This phone was middle of the road and has become a "daily driver" for me since receiving it.
