CUSTOMER REVIEW
Just got it - it came super fast!
To start, this is the second epilator I've owned, the first one being a Panasonic wet/dry AAA battery-operated model I bought around 2009, I think it was maybe around 7000 JPY. It worked really well but the head was rather small and replacing batteries was a pain. After its motor died out I got lazy and just went back to shaving, but my wedding is coming up soon so I thought it'd be better to groom a bit more nicely lol...
As soon as I pulled it out from the shipping box, the premier packaging instantly reassured me that I was not getting a cheap product; very nice first impression. Each component from the main unit to all the protective heads, carrying case, cord, etc are individually wrapped in plastic and/ or cradled in a plastic carton and not just floating around in the box.
It's nice to hold in the hand, not so heavy, but substantial enough to feel like it's not a toy.
For background, I have dark, mediumish-coarse hair on my legs and it's coarser and thicker in my underarm areas.
So, after reading the instructions, I started off on a test patch of fur on my shin where hairs were mostly between 4-5mm long. It plucked my hairs quite excellently. I could feel them pull out rather than break them. If your fur pattern growth direction is all over the place like mine, you need to change the angle/ position/ direction of the tool so it'll grab properly. For new users, learn by doing! Per the instructions, best tip I read was to face the epilator so that the logo faces you. Also, from just the way my hair is, I got better pluck results the more perpendicular it was to the surface of my leg. I used the provided cleaning brush to brush the head and rotated the discs a bit while blowing on it too and seemed to clear if off nicely.
I moved on to my underarm area where furs were coarser, bunched together more, and around 3-4mm long. Again, the hairs I have here grow in lots of crazy directions but after just a few passes, results were satisfactorily smooth. I showed the fiancé and he approved too :D
Very good product. Worth the purchase.
